Yes, as a homeowner you can order a made-to-measure roof lantern directly from DagLichtDesign. You request a quote with a photo or sketch, receive it in your inbox within 24 hours and pay 30% on order and 70% on completion. Installation is done by your own contractor or builder, or on request by a regular installation partner.
Yes. DagLichtDesign supplies both homeowners and contractors throughout the Netherlands. There is no showroom and no sales process. You order directly from the factory in Barneveld, without a middleman.
Want to see what you are buying first? The workshop is open by appointment. You can see a finished profile and glazing unit there. Make an appointment via the contact page, or call on weekdays between 7:00 and 17:00.
It starts with a quote request. You do not need a building drawing: a photo or sketch with dimensions is enough. If you have nothing, they will come and visit. Within 24 hours you have a quote with glass options, lead time and price, valid for 30 days.
Once you approve, the roof lantern goes into production. The lead time is from 2 weeks. The full ordering process is also explained in ordering a roof lantern.
DagLichtDesign does not install as standard. Your own contractor or builder fits the roof lantern, using the printed and digital installation manual supplied with every delivery. If your contractor has questions, telephone support is available on weekdays from 7:00 to 17:00.
If you have no contractor, installation can be arranged on request through a regular installation partner. It appears as a separate line in the quote. What fitting roughly costs is covered in the cost of having a roof lantern installed.
Check in advance that your roof can carry the roof lantern. With an existing flat roof or extension it is usually quite possible, provided the structure allows it. A contractor or structural engineer can assess that. Also check whether your building work needs a permit, see planning permission for a roof lantern.

You pay a 30% deposit on order and 70% on completion, with a payment term of 14 days. That way you pay the larger part only once the roof lantern is there.
Yes, by appointment at the factory in Barneveld, with no delivery charge. You can also have it delivered on an agreed date.
If you are experienced with roofing work, you can, using the installation manual supplied with every delivery. Bear in mind that the connection to the roof covering and working at height are skilled jobs. If in doubt, leave it to a contractor or the installation partner.
