How much does a roof lantern cost? The answer starts with the roof type. The more glass panes and profiles a roof lantern has, the more material and work goes into it at the factory. That is why a mono-pitch with a single pane is the entry model and a hipped roof lantern with four panes is the most expensive type.
Each type has its own page on the factors that drive the price: the price of a mono-pitch roof lantern, the cost of a wall-abutting lean-to, the price of a gable roof lantern and the cost of a hipped roof lantern.
After the roof type, size matters most. More glass area means more glass, longer profiles and a heavier unit. If a mono-pitch is wider than 5 metres, a thermally broken glazing bar is added.
Then comes the glass. HR++ double glazing is standard, triple glazing costs extra. A solar control coating, obscure glass or acoustic glass also count. The aluminium frame is available in any RAL colour, including bicolour with a different colour inside and out. Finally, delivery counts: collection in Barneveld has no shipping costs, while delivery appears as a separate item in the quote.
