Yet you use those places often: for DIY, fixing the bike or getting out of the car in the dry. A carport roof lantern, or one in the garage roof, brings daylight there, without having to break open a wall.
Outbuildings almost always have a flat roof. That makes a roof lantern easy to fit: a low mono-pitch roof lantern in the roof, connected to the existing roofing.

That depends on the distance between the beams. A 1 or 2 metre mono-pitch roof lantern fits many carports without major changes to the structure. Measure the space between the beams and include that size in your request.
