Leusden has many homes from the 1970s and 1980s. Some of them have had an extension with a plastic rooflight dome for years. Replacing it with a glass roof lantern gives more light and better insulating glass. A rooflight dome that is a few decades old has often turned dull and insulates poorly. A roof lantern in the same flat roof solves both. A mono-pitch roof lantern has a thermally broken aluminium frame in any RAL colour and HR++ double glazing as standard. Thanks to the standard pitch of 8°, rainwater runs off by itself, and the installation manual describes the watertight connection to EPDM or bitumen.

If the old extension comes off entirely, you have more choice. A mono-pitch roof lantern is the usual solution and is in stock in 1, 2 and 3 metres. Against a higher rear wall, a wall-abutting lean-to makes more sense, because it also gives side light.
From Leusden to the workshop is about 25 minutes by car. Collection is by appointment, delivery on a date you agree with your builder. If you live in Hooglanderveen, you are a little closer to the factory.
Unsure about the frame colour? Look at your existing window frames. Anthracite (RAL 7016) and traffic white (RAL 9016) are popular choices, and bicolour is possible too: a different colour inside than outside. That way the roof lantern matches what is already there.
Often, yes, because the roof lantern is made to measure. Pass on the exact size of the opening and the upstand, with a photo. If it does not fit exactly, discuss with your builder whether the opening should be adjusted.
